![]() ![]() Doing the wrong thing, on purpose, for money. The developer looked at their incomplete game, and instead of doing the right thing and removing it from Steam or finishing it, they instead doubled-down and tried to scam even more people into paying for it. It's impossible to "accidentally" discount a game. Unethically, knowing full well that this game is unlikely to ever be complete as they are just kicking the can down the road with empty updates, they are deliberately trying to scam gamers into buying it by offering it on discount from time to time, and in game bundles. Whether the developer lacks the time, funds, or skill/talent required to complete a video game isn't really something gamers should be expected to accept as an excuse. There's no reasonable expectation that this will ever be completed. ![]() The developer has breached their commitment to finish the game in late 2022, yet offered no apology, explanation or refund to gamers. The game has been in Early Access for almost two years and while it's still getting empty, token updates, it's deep in Development Hell. ![]() This bug is incredibly consistent, it happens immediately on loading the game, so the game will probably be unplayable for anyone unlucky enough not to heed the warnings from other gamers about buying this. When this happens, you have to terminate the game process, at which point you can have your mouse pointer back. Or could, if the game was remotely playable.įor me, the game flips out and locks the mouse pointer in a specific spot, which not only renders the game unplayable, but also locks you out of mouse control over your OS UI when you alt+tab out to try fix the problem. The idea is that you build homes, obviously, but the quirk is that there's a number of different eras and biomes that you can muck around in, which means different technologies and different types of houses you can build. House Builder is a game that had a lot of potential based on the concept, but in reality, it's a buggy, unplayable train wreck stuck in development hell while the developer continues to try scam people into buying it while they're busy working on other, new early access projects (that they will presumably abandon, the cycle of bad game development continues eternally). ![]()
